2765 A police officer who was shot after being called to an emergency involving a man who barricaded himself in his house was not prevented by the firefighter's rule from recovering from the man's wife who, after he arrived at the scene, falsely informed the officer that the man was not violent, when she knew that he was violent, that he was equipped with a rifle, and that he had threatened to kill the first officer on the scene.
