p0306 REVIEW GRANTED Code of Civil Procedure sections 128.7, authorizing sanctions for certain practices committed in pleadings or papers filed on or after January 1, 1995, and 128.5, authorizing sanctions for certain behavior in matters initiated on or before December 31, 1994, may both be applied to actions filed on or after January 1, 1995; deliberately false answers given in interrogatories qualify as evasive responses, justifying discovery sanctions.
