3720 REVIEW DENIED An award of $2 million was excessive in an action by parents against police for conduct during an arrest that wrongfully caused the death of their adult son whom they had not seen in 20 years, and who was addicted to cocaine, sufficiently deranged to have stood in the middle of a street shooting a gun into the air and at passing motorists, frequently had been confined to prison, and would probably have been convicted of various crimes and sentenced to 21 years in prison had he survived the arrest.
