3965 In an action for unfair competition and public nuisance against manufacturers, distributors, and retailers of handguns, who allegedly distribute firearms in a manner that enables criminals to acquire them by failing to supervise downstream sellers, the absence of proof that defendants' practice caused or is likely to cause substantial injury prevents the imposition of liability.
