4127 Under the Lanterman-Petris-Short Act (Welfare and Institutions Code section 5000 et seq.), the psychiatrist directly responsible for treatment is immune from liability for the conduct of a person released prior to the statutory 72-hour period if s/he subjectively believed, as a result of personal observations, that there is no further need for evaluation or treatment.
