P0954 The Code of Civil Procedure's mandatory relief provisions for dismissals resulting from attorney neglect do not require the attorney at fault to have been the attorney of record in the civil matter in which the relief is sought, and a trial court abused its discretion in failing to grant such relief on the ground that the dismissal resulted from negligent advice given by an attorney handling plaintiff's bankruptcy.
