4389 An officer suing the public entity that employs him/her for damages under the Public Safety Officers' Procedural Bill of Rights Act is not required to exhaust administrative remedies before seeking judicial relief, but must comply with claim presentation requirements of the Government Claims Act; state claim presentation requirements cannot be applied to an action under the federal Civil Rights Act.
