4404 REVIEW DENIED In a strict products liability action, all members of the chain of commercial distribution of the defective product are jointly and severally liable for all of plaintiff's damages, and Proposition 51 does not apply to their liability; at the trial of a plaintiff's strict product liability action against one member of the chain of commercial distribution of the product that caused injury, the defendant has no real incentive to argue that other members of the chain are at fault and so determinations made in that trial should not have collateral estoppel (i.e., issue preclusion) effect on the issue of fault in a subsequent action for equitable indemnity by that defendant against another member of the chain of distribution.
