P1291 An offer of compromise that would dispose of the offeree's claims, but not of claims asserted in the offeror's cross complaint, may satisfy the requirements of Code of Civil Procedure section 998, so enhanced costs may be awarded against an offeree who rejects it and then receives a less favorable judgment on the its claim.
